What is ISO 45001?

ISO 45001 is an international standard which specifies the requirements for an occupational health and safety management system.

  • ISO 45001 has a consistent structure (HLS – High Level Structure), adjusted to other management system standards, e.g. ISO 9001 or ISO 14001.
  • ISO 45001 put a greater emphasis on the needs and expectations of employees and other interested parties.
  • ISO 45001 has introduced the requirement of identifying risks and chances affecting the organisation, including legal requirements and the organisation’s general context.
